Choose the Gender of Your Baby

A method to help you choose the gender of your baby is the timing.
This can be a bit tricky as it is all about when ovulation takes place.
Some women struggle to know when they are ovulating.
To sway the odds in favor of conceiving a girl, the couple need to be having intercourse no later than 2 days prior to ovulation (unless of course using a condom).
In favor of conceiving a boy, intercourse needs to be at fertile peak - when ovulating.
One of the best ways to determine when ovulation takes place is by keeping an eye on your cervical mucus.
This changes the closer to ovulation you get.
When wanting to choose the gender of your baby you need to monitor your body cycle for at the very least 2-3 months, so that you can get a clear idea on what day of the month you ovulate.
For a lot of women ovulation takes place 14 days before the first day of their period.
Cervical mucus changes continuously throughout a woman's cycle.
Immediately after a period the woman's cervical mucus is dry.
As it gets closer to ovulation the cervical mucus starts to get white and sticky.
When your fertility is at its peak the cervical mucus becomes very thin and stretchy - often described as being like egg white.
After ovulation it is sticky and dries up.
Another way to help choose the gender of your baby is to take your basal body temperature daily.
This is another way to help predicting when ovulation is taking place.
You need to be monitoring your temperature for 2 to 3 months.
The basal body temperature rises marginally (0.
5 to 1.
6 degrees) following ovulation.
The only way to detect the rise is by taking your temperature.
It is such a little rise in temperature that you will not feel it.
The rise is caused by the increase in hormones after ovulation.
