- 1). Spread several layers of old newspapers over a flat working surface. Gently tap the end of a raw egg with the handle of a butter knife to produce a tiny cracked area.
- 2). Pick away some of the cracked shell to create a small hole, about ½ inch in diameter. Empty the egg into a bowl.
- 3). Rinse the eggshell out thoroughly with warm water. Shake out any excess and allow the shell to dry completely.
- 4). Use the egg dye kit to color the eggshells, and allow them to dry thoroughly.
- 5). Fill the eggshells with confetti, sparkles and glitter. Cut little pieces of tissue paper and glue them over the holes in the shells. Decorate your festive cascarones with paints, markers, stickers, glitter glue and any other materials that please you.
