Here's a secret I discovered and am going to share with you. I think the safest and best quality skin care products are sold by network marketing. 

From the time a product is manufactured, it can take as long as ten years for it to get into your home.  Think about the amount of time from when the products are manufactured – probably overseas – till they get to the manufacturer's warehouse. Then how long could they stay there before the sales force sells it to a retail store? After that it could sit in the retailer's warehouse for a while until it is stocked on their shelves.  Haven't you ever reached to the back of a display thinking that the ones there are fresher?  How long will it sit on the shelf before you purchase it?  No wonder the manufacturers have to put such powerful preservatives in their products. 

With products sold by network marketing, the product goes from the manufacturer, to their warehouse, and then directly to the consumer.  Now I'm not saying that those products have no preservatives.  That just isn't possible unless you make your own products and keep them refrigerated and use them up in a week or two.  Especially if the ingredients are organic and plant based.  Think about how long a lettuce can stay in your fridge. However, those products could have more gentle less toxic plant based preservatives because their shelf life does not have to be very long. 

In network marketing, all the middle men are eliminated.  First of all, there are no advertizing costs.  Can you imagine how much the large cosmetics companies pay for advertizing in magazines and on TV? And celebrity endorsements are in the millions. Do you really think those celebrities use the over the counter skin care creams and makeup they endorse? I have researched the ingredients in those types of products, and from what I found out, I'm sure they don't, but I bet they get paid seven figures to say they do. Who do you think pays for this?  YOU DO! 

Also, there is no retail mark up.  Every retail store charges at least double what they pay for every product.  So even if you buy a higher end mascara or face cream in a retail store for …let's say $40, what kind of quality are you really expecting?  The millions of dollars saved by network marketing companies can go into providing a higher quality product for the price.
