How To Succeed With Your Passion

What is your passion? If you have been reading a lot of motivational or self enrichment books, you will find that successful individuals succeed not because they are smarter, richer, more intelligent or luckier.
It is simply their passions that make them so successful in what they are doing.
If you do not know me well, I am very obsessed with Adam Khoo's teaching and the first time I picked up his 'Secrets of Self Made Millionaires', from the shelf, I couldn't stop reading.
I am still buying his materials and learning from him to this very day.
However, I am not writing this post to promote how good Adam Khoo is, but I remember what he said in his book.
He says that millionaires do not work for money.
They work because they like to do what they are doing, that is why they are so successful.
In other words, it is their passions that drive them.
I know this is very true because if you look at Adam Khoo's wealth today - I am not sure how much he's worth but I believe he has got more than enough to live on even if he plans to retires tomorrow.
He is so rich yet he is still working.
He said that he likes to see people's lives changed, of course from the negative to the positive ones.
He like to empower people from all ages and he believes that each of us can be geniuses.
We just have to bring it out.
It is the same like Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Anthony Robbins, Tiger Wood, Michael Bay, Steve Jobs, Steven Spielberg and the list goes on.
They are good at what they do because of the passions they have for what they do.
PASSION If you want to succeed in life, you must have passion.
Notice that I did not use the word 'need' but 'must'.
So passion is not an option, it is a must.
Passion is more than just a feeling.
Sometimes we feel good at what we do like day job, sports and hobby but merely having a good feeling towards it is not a passion.
So let's say when you are looking for a job, what factors that determine what kind of job you should be looking for? If you are like a lot of parents, they only encourage you to go according to the trend.
The IT field was once the highest paid job in the world and a lot of students went to study IT.
Now, you can find IT student everywhere and it has become so normal today.
Following the trend is also not a passion.
You must have your own passion even though your field does not seem to have a very promising future, like being an artist who paints.
So you must set your first priority to passion when it comes to finding a job.
If you do, - you will love what you do - you do not mind working late - you will put in extra effort - you will have better ideas of how to improve the process, and - you wil have the drives that keeps you going all the time.
You see, if you have passion towards something, you will find a lot of knowledge about it automatically.
You will buy books, video tapes, audio CDs or even do research on it.
You wouldn't even mind investing in all these materials, though it may seem to be very expensive for others.
After all, knowledge is not expensive, but ignorance is.
What do I mean by ignorance? Let's say you know you can play guitar very well and you are invited to play in a party or something.
You reject the invitation simply because you are very new to the environment and you don't feel comfortable performing in front of others.
But little that you know, it may be the opportunity to show off your hidden talents and it is the time to bless the party crowd with the music you play with your guitar.
Passion is contagious.
PASSION produces PRODUCTIVITY produces PROFIT produces PLEASURES produces PASSION - Pat Mesiti
You see if you have passion towards something, it will not die.
They never will.
The only thing that kills passion is boredom and often, it will be buried.
