How to Print Place Cards With Cardstock Paper

    • 1). Download a free place card template (see Resources section), or design your own. Many websites offer place card templates in a variety of designs to match just about any holiday or occasion. These are usually free to download and use.

    • 2). Open your printing software on your computer. Open the place card template in the software. Add the guest's name into the place card template. Typically, place card templates will have more than one card on the paper; add the names accordingly. Choose a font that fits your type of event and theme. Alternatively, you can add the guest's names after you have printed the place card by handwriting their name on the card.

    • 3). Load the card stock into your printer. Remove any other type of paper before adding the card stock to the printer tray.

    • 4). Print the place cards. Allow the ink to dry on the place card for several minutes. Cut out the place cards, then fold them in half. Customize the place cards to match your theme.
