- 1). Press the "Y=" button on the graphing calculator. This button is located in different places according to the brand, but it is normally near or in the top row. This button opens the window to enter the equation or equations you plan to graph.
- 2). Enter the first equation you want to graph on the first "Y=" line. For example, a simple line at a 45-degree angle is Y=2X, and a simple curve could be Y=X^2-2.
- 3). Enter any additional equations you wish to graph in the subsequent "Y=" lines. A complex figure requires multiple equations that graph different parts of the image.
