- 1). Get the loose dust off the vertical blind track by using a feather duster or dryer cloth. You do not want to apply lubricant over the top of dirt and dust; it will only make it stick and be even harder to clean.
- 2). Wash the track clean with a sponge dampened with mild soapy water.
- 3). Dry the track with a clean cloth, and allow it to air dry for a few minutes also.
- 4). Spray lubricant into the track so that you give both the tilt gears and the track a light coat of silicon. Do not use the more commonly available petroleum-based lubricants. Repeat the lubrication once a year for long lasting vertical blinds.
