- Opt for fuchsia accessories in your bedroom when you only want a punch of color here and there. Accessories that come in fuchsia include lampshades, clocks, laundry hampers, photo frames, wastebaskets and mirror frames. For light touches of fuchsia in a bedroom, paint knobs on dressers with fuchsia paint or paint a fuchsia border on your headboard.
- Use fuchsia in combination with another color for a two-toned bedroom look. A more mature, sophisticated look is created when you combine fuchsia with gray, darker shades of blue or black. Fuchsia can also go well with lilac or medium to darker greens. A young girl or teen might prefer a polka-dot themed bedroom using fuchsia and white as a color combo.
- Every room needs a focal point. In a bedroom, that usually means making your bed stand out. Pick a fuchsia bedding set that includes pillow shams, bed skirt, sheets and a comforter. For a special touch, add a fuchsia string bed canopy over your bed. Make curtains that match your fuchsia bedspread.
- Choose a darker color to go with fuchsia in the bedroom when your husband prefers a more masculine look. Dark gray or black furniture and bedding will tone down the fuchsia. Keep the fuchsia to a minimum in a bedroom that is shared with a male such as fuchsia accessories or one smaller fuchsia accent wall.
