- 1). Stock a cosmetic bag or tin trinket box with supplies for minor daily emergencies. Teachers always need a ready supply of emergency items for children. Bandages, lollipops, moist towelettes, cotton swabs, hand sanitizer and travel tissues are all good "feel better bag" items.
- 2). Fill a coffee cup with caramels, chocolate kisses or a sweet treat your child's teacher enjoys. Tie a handwritten note from your child onto the handle with ribbon.
- 3). Build a gardener's basket. Fill a basket with two or three types of flower seeds, a small clay pot and a pair of inexpensive gardening gloves. Make a card that says "Thank you for helping my child grow!" and include it with the basket.
- 4). Make up a "dinner-to-go" bag. Purchase a jar of pasta sauce, a box of uncooked pasta and a loaf of garlic bread from the local grocery store and have your child make a little card that says "Dinner is on me tonight." Your child's teacher will be thrilled by the simple quick meal idea and supplies.
