Shut the valve to the radiator. - 2
Using a large pipe wrench loosen the nut that couples the radiator to the valve. Keep turning the nut until it releases from the coupler. - 3). Lift and slide the radiator free of the valve.
- 4). Place the new radiator in position, being careful to line the coupler up straight. Hand turn the nut until absolutely certain the threads are aligned and tightening properly.
- 5). Tighten the pipe coupler nut securely with the pipe wrench.
- 6). Turn on the valve to finish the job. Wait for the heat to come on and make a final check for leaks.
