Every single time I find myself in a "managing our finances" question with a friend I'll be the very first person to admit that debt management software makes it *SO* simple for me to track what I spend and keep me on budget.
I remember all too well what it used to be like...
when managing finances depended too much on my bad memory and even worse, my very bad handwriting! I hated having to "neatly write" in my checkbook (with different color pens depending on the expense), carefully doing the math on my own and then spending 2 hours at the end of each month - and that was on a good month when I didn't lazily put it off - totaling everything up so I know how closely I'm following my budget.
It was horrible..
..
Doing it myself was like pulling teeth! So I experimented with different types of debt management software...
and the results?...
I loved it - my bills were automatically organized and bank accounts were all in one place.
No more "forgetting" to pay bills because I didn't track the due date properly.
Best of all, if I want to see a report on how much I'm actually spending this month, all I have to do is click my mouse 3 times and *bam* - there it is! Want to review my budget? Want to know how much I've spent on going "out to eat" this month? Or over the past 3 months?...
just 3 mouse clicks and *bam* - I see it! Debt Management Software Is *Great* But It Will Not Do One Important Thing For You...
I talk to *so* many people who think their problems will be solved once they get a piece of debt management software...
I can't begin to tell you how many of them get it and just *never* use it.
Important Key: Just like any great tool, it only helps if you use it! If you don't habitually enter your income and expenses into the software, it cannot ever help you!
