- 1). Position the piece of paper with the colored side face down. Point one corner towards you.
- 2). Fold the paper in half from top corner to bottom corner, forming a horizontal crease. Unfold the paper. Cut along the crease you just made, forming two identical triangles.
- 3). Put one triangle aside. With the other, position it with the long side facing you.
- 4). Fold the triangle in half from left to right, forming a vertical crease. Crease and unfold.
- 5). Fold the top corner of the triangle down to meet the bottom edge, showing a small colored triangle.
- 6). Take the two bottom corners of the triangle, and fold them upward. The creases will be along the edges of the triangle you formed in the previous step. The two flaps will point vertically. The final shape will be a square.
- 7). Take the bottom corner (not the open flaps), and fold it up to meet the center point of the square.
- 8). Turn the paper over to reveal your completed sailboat.
