- 1). Clean the chip or crack. Wash the entire face of the watch with water and a mild detergent, such as dishwashing liquid. Let it dry. Use a hair dryer set on "cool" to dry the area more quickly if needed.
- 2). Mix the epoxy adhesive. Follow the manufacturer's direction for mixing it. Use a toothpick to fill the chip or crack with epoxy and shape it. Use a second toothpick to smooth the surface of the epoxy so the face of the watch is smooth and even.
- 3). Leave it to dry and harden overnight. Epoxy typically takes at least 24 hours to dry completely.
- 4). Paint over the epoxy with a paint that matches the rest of the watch face. If you cannot find a matching paint, you can paint the entire surface of the watch. Let the paint dry.
- 5). Add or fix any details on the watch that are damaged, such as numerals. Detailing is repaired or fixed in different ways, depending on the type of detailing and the face of the watch.
