Early in the year of 2003, I think February or March, I was living in a pop-up tent in the Borrego Desert in southern California. Late one night I went out to gaze at the stars. I saw something so beautiful and natural -- yes natural and organic -- like a lazy squid-type light slowly making its way across the night sky in slow, long bursts, very very far up in the sky. Between the bursts it seemed to rebound a bit, like catching its breath.
At first I didn't really notice it, until I realized that, yes, it was natural and organic, but it was not something usually found in the sky. It made its way across the sky, getting further and further away. I watched it and tried to find a witness, but no luck finding anyone so late at night, and the next day, no one else saw it. Just had to share it with someone!
