- 1). Reach into the dishwasher and gently spin the upper and lower spray arms with your hand. The arms should spin easily, but if anything is blocking them, such as incorrectly loaded dishes, they will not clean effectively.
- 2). Look at the tiny holes located on the spray arms to see if they are clogged with food, grease or limescale deposits.
- 3). Remove all dishes from the dishwasher, add detergent to the appliance and run your Bosch dishwasher on the Power Scrub cycle. This will clean the spray arms.
- 4). Avoid overcrowding when you load dirty dishes into your Bosch dishwasher. The water from the spray arms must reach all areas of the dishes; if you place two dishes tightly together, the water cannot clean between them.
- 5). Clean the filter of your Bosch dishwasher to remove any trapped food or other debris. Turn the filter container, located right in front of the lower spray arm, counter-clockwise to unscrew it from the dishwasher. Rinse the filters in cool, running water to remove all visible debris and return them to the dishwasher.
- 6). Use only 1 tbsp. of dishwasher detergent in your Bosch dishwasher. Increase this amount by approximately 1/2 tbsp. each cycle until you find the correct amount of dishwasher detergent required to get your dishes clean.
- 7). Add a rinse agent if your dishes have streaks or spots. The rinse agent dispenser is located next to the detergent dispenser.
