- 1). Remove dust from leather upholstery with a clean dust cloth. Wipe around cushions and the top and back of chairs and couches.
- 2). Spray or pour a leather cleaner onto a clean cloth, and wipe onto a 3-foot-by-3-foot section of the leather upholstery. Pour or spray additional leather cleaner onto a clean area of the cloth, and wipe over a new section of the upholstery until finished.
- 3). Pour a leather conditioner onto a clean cloth, and wipe in circular motions over one section of the upholstery. Buff the leather until it shines. Continue to another section of the upholstery. Fold the cloth to expose a clean section, and pour additional leather conditioner onto it. Buff the leather upholstery, section by section until finished.
- 4). Dab toothpaste, not gel, onto stains on the leather upholstery. Scrub the stains with a damp cloth. Wipe away the stain and toothpaste with the damp cloth, and dry with a clean cloth.
- 5). Spray aerosol hairspray on any remaining stains on the leather upholstery, and wipe away with a clean cloth. Continue wiping until stain disappears.
