Instrument Parts and Accessories

• Carvin was founded in the 1940s as a guitar parts and accessories company. Over the years, their primary focus has shifted to guitars and basses, but Carvin still offers several different types of guitar accessories, including pickups, knobs, and guitar hardware, as well as build-your-own guitar kits and speaker parts. These kits allow the customer with the proper know-how to save even more money by building their own instruments.
  
  

Guitars and Basses

• Carvin offers a wide variety of guitar and bass styles. They sell several different lines of solid-body six-string electric guitars -- distinguished primarily by the type of neck joint on the guitar -- seven-string electric guitars, 12 string electric guitars, 12 string acoustic guitars, six-string acoustic guitars, semi-hollow body electric guitars, guitars with midi-synth access and classical guitars. Carvin also sells several different bass guitars, including four, five and six string electric models, acoustic basses and extended scale basses (for increased tension on the lowest strings). These guitars and basses are all made with high-quality parts, and range in price from around $800 to $2,500.
  
  

Amplifiers

• Carvin also specializes in boutique-quality guitar and bass amplifiers and cabinets. Guitar virtuoso Steve Via endorses Carvin amplifiers and has two entire lines of amplifiers bearing his name, the Steve Via Legacy Series and the Steve Via Legacy II Series. Carvin also offers several other tube and solid-state guitar amplifiers as well as a line of acoustic guitar amplifiers. As with guitar amps, Carvin makes several different types of bass amplifiers. They offer inexpensive combo amps ideal for practicing as well as high-powered bass heads and speakers capable of keeping up with the loudest of bands. As with their instruments, Carvin amplifiers are relatively cheap for their level of quality and craftsmanship.
  
  

Pro Audio

• Carvin has an enormous selection of pro audio equipment available in addition to their guitars, basses and amplifiers. They offer everything from small, portable PA systems to complete, professional quality PA systems. In addition to these convenient PA packages, Carvin allows you to customize your live-sound setup by offering many different types of speakers, monitors, mixers and power amplifiers. Carvin also sells microphones and pro audio parts.
