- Any time you post something to another user's profile Wall, she is allowed to delete it permanently at any time. If your posts have disappeared from a friend's Wall and you know that you did not delete them, it is very likely that the profile owner removed the posts. Once a post is deleted from a profile Wall by the Wall owner, it cannot be restored.
- Facebook requires all users to abide by content standards. If you post something to a friend's Wall that violates the terms of your site membership, other users are permitted to report is as abuse. If Facebook deems your content inappropriate, it can be removed without your permission or that of the profile owner. Content considered abusive can include verbal threats to another person, pornographic images or posts with violent language.
- If your posts go missing and your friend reports that she did not delete them, and you know there was no offensive content, it is possible that a Facebook glitch caused the disappearance. To report problems to Facebook, go to the Account link in the top right corner of your Facebook screen and choose "Help Center" from the menu. Click the blue "Report a bug" link and follow the on screen menu to report a problem with your Wall posts.
- If you do post content that is a violation of Facebook's rules, the removal of the content may be just the beginning of your reprimand. Facebook can also issue a formal warning, and cancel your account altogether. If your friend has removed your posts from her wall, you may want to reach out and find out why she found the posts offending; that way you won't post similar content in the future.
