- 1). Make decorative bows to add to the front of the crib blanket. Since the blanket is for a girl, tie four or more pieces of pink ribbon into small bows.
- 2). Place your two pieces of decorative fabric on a flat surface. Turn one piece of the decorative fabric on the side with the pattern. Use a needle and thread to sew the bows around the pattern. Put the other piece of fabric on top of the one with the bows so the pattern is facing inward. This is the front and back of the crib blanket. Line the edges of the two blankets so they are even.
- 3). Insert straight pins along the edges to join the fabrics together.
- 4). Sew a straight line along the edges of each side of the blanket using a sewing machine or a needle and thread by hand. On one side of the blanket, leave about a 10-cm hole to pull the fabric right side out.
- 5). Insert your hand or fingers into the hole and pull the fabric right side out so the pattern now faces outward.
- 6). Fold the fabric around the 10-cm hole inward until it is even with the edge of the blanket.
- 7). Flatten the fold using the iron so the hole is practically invisible, then stitch a straight line around the edges of all sides of the blanket to close the hole using a needle and thread.
