- 1). Insert a Memory Stick with at least 28 megabytes (MB) of free space into your PSP's Memory Stick slot.
- 2). Power on your PSP.
- 3). Highlight the "System" column on the PSP's home menu (XMB).
- 4). Highlight "System Update" and press the "X" button.
- 5). Choose "Update via Internet."
- 6). Select a wireless connection. If you don't already have your PSP set up for wireless Internet, select "New Connection" and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your console's WiFi connection.
- 7). Follow the on-screen instructions to download the update data. The amount of time required to download the update data varies based on your Internet connection.
- 8). Press "X" after the download is completed to start the installation.
- 1). Insert a Memory Stick with at least 28 MB of free space into your PSP's Memory Stick slot and connect the PSP to your computer's Universal Serial Bus (USB) port using the PSP's USB cable.
- 2). Power on the PSP and set it to "USB Mode" by selecting "USB Connection" under the "System" column of the XMB.
- 3). Download the latest PSP firmware update using the link in Resources, below, and create a folder called "PSP." Create a folder titled "GAME" within that folder. Create a folder titled "UPDATE" within the game folder. Move the update file to the "UPDATE" folder you just created and move the "PSP" folder containing it to your PSP. If using Microsoft Windows, locate your PSP by clicking the "Start" button on the desktop and selecting "Computer."
- 4). Press "Circle" on the PSP to exit USB mode and navigate to the "Game" column on the XMB.
- 5). Select "Memory Stick" or "System Storage" (if using PSPgo's built-in system memory), highlight the update and press the "X" button to begin the firmware upgrade.
