- 1). Go to the cabinet on the left and open it to get some earmuffs. These will let you pick up the mandrake without being harmed. Smash everything that you can on the screen, as there are a few things that you'll need to construct from pieces of smashed items in Hagrid's garden.
- 2). Pick up the mandrake and place it in the brown pot on the upper-right side of the screen. This is necessary for Buckbeak to be able to move, as the mandrake is keeping him grounded. Go to the upper-left part of the screen to find a fish from an overturned barrel.
- 3). Levitate the fish over to Buckbeak. He will jump up and eat the fish but will still be chained to the ground. Go to the right side of the screen and assemble the pieces into a grill. Levitate the piece of meat over to Buckbeak to get him to eat it.
- 4). Smash all the flowers around Buckbeak and an axe will appear. Levitate the axe and it will automatically cut through both of the chains holding Buckbeak down, freeing him.
