How to Twitter the Weather Channel

    • 1). Sign up for a Twitter account by going to Twitter's site and clicking the button that says "Sign up now." Fill out the basic profile by entering your first and last name, your desired twitter username, password and email address. If you do not want others to be able to look you up by email address, remove the check in the box beside "Let others find me by my email address."

    • 2). Type the two words you see in the Captcha box. Most sites require users to type in Captcha codes to prevent computer generated sign-ups. Read through the terms of service and, if you agree, click the "Create my account" button to complete sign up.

    • 3). Click on the "Follow" button for The Weather Channel's Twitter account once you have navigated to its page. TWCi is the username of The Weather Channel's official Twitter account.

    • 4). Send a tweet to the Weather Channel by typing the "@" symbol followed by TWCi and then your message. Here is an example: "@TWCi It is snowing in Austin, Texas."

    • 5). Reply to tweets from the Weather Channel by hovering over the message in your timeline and clicking "Reply." This will place "@TWCi" in your response box so all you have to do is type your message and click send. Share messages sent by the Weather Channel with your friends by hovering over the message and clicking "Retweet." You will be asked if you want to retweet the message to your followers; click "yes" if you'd like to do so, or click the "x" to cancel the retweet.
