- 1). Turn on your computer and log in. Click on the "Start" menu and open "Control Panel."
- 2). Select "System" in "Control Panel" and click "System Restore." Check the box for "Turn off system restore on all devices."
- 3). Open Internet Explorer and select "Tools" from the menu bar. Click "Internet Options" and select "Delete" under "Browsing History." Click "Delete" on the pop-up. Close Internet Explorer.
- 4). Click the "Start" menu and expand "All Programs." Point to Accessories, then system tools and select "Disk cleanup." Make sure all of the drives are checked and start the cleanup. Allow it to complete. Check all of the items found in the results and select "OK."
- 5). Click Start and select "Run." Type "cmd" and press "Enter." Type "attrib -s -h -r c:\autorun.inf" and press "Enter." Type "attrib -s -h -r c:\ntdelect.com" and press "Enter." Repeat these steps, replacing "C:" with any other disk drive you wish to clean.
- 6). Type "del c:\autorun.inf" and press "Enter." Type "del c:\ntdelect.com" and press "Enter." Repeat these steps, replacing "C:" with any other disk drive you wish to clean.
- 7). Type "attrib -s -h -r c:\windows\system32\kavo.exe" and press "Enter." Type "del c:\windows\system32\kavo.exe" and press "Enter."
