- Minnesota's Dakota County overlaps the Twin City metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul, and includes the surrounding towns of Apple Valley, Burnsville, West St. Paul and South St. Paul. The Lebanon Hills and Lake Byllesby regional parks in Dakota Country offer campers a wilderness experience not far from the urban environment.
- The Lebanon Hills Campground is located in the middle of 2,000 acres of woodlands and lakes in the Lebanon Hills Regional Park.
