- 1). Living Room and Entryway
Adorn your walls with horse art prints, sculpted wall mirrors and western art prints. Place ceramic, wood, metal and crystal horse figurines on tables and shelves. Fill your bookshelves and stack your coffee table with magazines and books about horses. Hold books in groups with ceramic horse bookends. Get creative and make a lamp or create a unique piece of wall art out of an old piece of horse tack.
Install horse-head hooks to hang your hats and coats in the entryway, and attach a brass horse-head doorknocker on your front door. Complete the scene with a horse-theme doormat. - 2). Kitchen and Dining Areas
Choose a horse wallpaper border for your kitchen or dining room, or dedicate an entire wall to a mural. Wallpaper cutouts of horses can be applied to ceramic containers, cabinets, wood chairs and tables. Horse place mats, napkins, cutting boards, aprons, tablecloths and coffee mugs help complete the horse theme. - 3). Bedroom and Bath
Drape a horse blanket over a bedroom chair. Purchase horse-print sheets and pillow cases to go with a horse-themed quilt. Stack quilted throw pillows in coordinating colors, and add one small horse pillow in the center.
A cowboy theme is great for kids' bedrooms. In additional to bedding and curtains, include a western-style rocking horse and a horse bean bag.
Outfit your bathroom with horse shower curtains, soap, soap dishes, towel rings and toilet-tissue holders.
