Starting a home business is something that many stat at home mothers want to pursue, and many have worked hard to build significant incomes working from home.
I am a stay at home dad who has built a successful internet business, and I realize that finding the time to work on your venture may seem nearly impossible.
One thing I have learned after having children is that things don't always go as planned.
This worked well because I had child free days and I was able to get most the things on my must-do list crossed off ( much of the time ).
But this approach didn't work for me after I had my kids.
At the end of the day when I looked at my task list, the majority of the tasks were still half finished.
This would leave me gloomy and a bit depressed.
And then one day I made a decision that things would be better if I planned for the week and not the day.
Naturally there are some activities that need to be done daily.
The great thing about starting and working a home business is that you can choose when and where you work.
I have realized that I do not need a big chunk of time each day to make my business grow.
By taking advantage of the small periods of free time that I have, even if it be only a few minutes, that over time my businesses have grown, flourished, and became a profitable source of income for me and my family.
Sure it wasn't easy, but I have absolutely NO regrets.
My biggest piece of advice for the work at home mom or dad is to make a commitment to take some action toward your goals every single day, no matter what.
Even small increments of work add up if they are done on a regular basis.
As I have said many times before, consistency is an entrepreneurs best friend..
..
especially when you are a stay at home parent trying to build a biz.
