- Since 2004, Lindsay House, a bed and breakfast, has been in a Victorian house in Manawa that was built in 1892. Each room is decorated differently and some have Queen-size beds that have been hand-crafted. While Lindsay House is "Old World," it has modern features that are part of each room like Internet access, a television and a telephone, but each of them is available on request. Walk in the beautifully maintained gardens and have a hearty full breakfast that's part of the reservation.
- This Victorian farmhouse was built in 1880 and it occupies over seven well-maintained acres on the Crystal River, less than five miles from Manawa. Each of the five guestrooms has its own private baths that come with Internet access. There's a welcome reception complete with beverages and a hearty gourmet breakfast, all part of the fees.
- A blend of Amish furnishings and antiques in the common area of Cleghorn Bed and Breakfast set the tone for the four guestrooms and the remainder of the house. Whether you have the Zachary Room with the two-person hot tub, the Kennedy Room with the fireplace or any of the other rooms, you'll have your own private bath and a cable television. There is also a shop on the grounds where you can purchase Amish crafts and quilts. Have a hearty breakfast before you begin working on your list of things to do.
- About a 10-minute ride from Manawa in New London, Wisconsin, is the Rainbow Motel. Bring your golf clubs because you'll want to play either the nine holes at Grand View Golf Club or the 18-hole course at Shamrock Heights Golf Course, both of which are close to this motel. You can also visit the restored village of New London with its restaurants, shops and theaters. Whether you choose a single or a double room, it will have a view of the on-site pond and have Internet access as one of its amenities.
