Emily Irene VanCamp is Canadian actress born May 12, 1986 in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada. She speaks French fluently as she grew up speaking the language. She has three sisters Molly, Katie and Alison. Emily is also a ballet dancer, horseback rider and avid photographer. Her first splurge from her Everwood earnings was a F100 Nikon Camera. VanCamp is also a huge ice hockey fan, Montreal Canadiens in particular.

Emily first appeared in the short film The Ring which bridged the gap between The Ring and The Ring Two. She reprised her role in The Ring Two. In 2006, Emily appeared in the film Black Irish as Kathleen.

Emily is best known for her character Amy Abbott on Everwood. In 2007 she guest starred on an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. That same year she joined the cast of Brothers & Sisters late in the season. She took on the role of Rebecca Harper, the daughter of the late William Walker and his mistress. In 2010 it was announced that she would be leaving the show. She appeared in three episodes of the fifth season in order to wrap up her storyline.
