How to Keep Squirrels From the Flower Garden With Cayenne Pepper

    • 1). Bring 1 quart of water to a boil on the stove in a cooking pot.

    • 2). Add 2 tablespoons of cayenne pepper to the water. Stir to dissolve the cayenne into the water.

    • 3). Remove the mixture from the stove top. Allow it to cool completely.

    • 4). Line a colander with cheesecloth and place a bowl under the colander. Pour the mixture into the colander to strain out any cayenne that is not completely dissolved.

    • 5). Pour the solution into a spray bottle. Spray your flowers with the solution. The cayenne will irritate the eyes of the squirrels, and they will not want to be around them.

    • 6). Spray the flowers weekly to keep the squirrels away.
