How to Use Your History & Favorites in Internet Explorer

    View History

    • 1). Click the "Favorites" toolbar. A box appears on the browser's left side with "Favorites" options. See Tips if you cannot find "Favorites."

    • 2). Click "History." A list of history folders appear with various time lines, such as "Thursday," or "2 Weeks Ago."

    • 3). Click the folder corresponding to the time period you visited the page for which you want to navigate. A list of visited websites for that period appear.

    • 4). Click a website from the list to navigate to that page.

    Clear History

    • 1). Push "Ctrl," "Shift" and "Delete" at the same time. The "Delete Browsing History" box appears.

    • 2). Place checks next to the items you want to delete.

    • 3). Select "Delete."

    Add Favorites

    • 1). Click the "Favorites" toolbar. A box appears on the browser's left side with "Favorites" options. See Tips if you cannot find "Favorites."

    • 2). Navigate to a website you want to add as a favorite.

    • 3). Click the "Add to Favorites" button in the "Favorites" pane. A box appears.

    • 4). Type a name for the listing in the "Name" field.

    • 5). Click "Add."

    • 1). Click the "Favorites" toolbar. A box appears on the browser's left side with "Favorites" options. See Tips if you cannot find "Favorites."

    • 2). Click "Favorites" from the tab list if necessary.

    • 3). Click a folder from the list containing the website you want to go to.

    • 4). Click the favorites listing to go to the page.
