- 1). Separate your hair into small equal sections on your head, parting the hair from front to back. Braid your natural hair against your scalp as tightly as you can in small cornrows or French braids. Secure each row with a rubber band.
- 2). Using a crochet needle, slide the hook end under the first braid of the cornrow on one side of your head, with the crochet hook pointing upwards.
- 3). Loop a small section of your extension hair through your own natural cornrow braid and pull the hair under the cornrow.
- 4). Use your fingers to pull a couple of loose ends of the extension hair through the loop. Tighten and anchor the hair so the extensions lie neatly on top of the cornrows, masking your natural braided hair.
- 5). Repeat Steps 2 to 4 with the other cornrows.
