Removing Hair Color From a Wood Surface

    • 1). Immediately apply warm water to the stained area. Next, apply a dab of liquid dish soap to a soft sponge and begin scrubbing. Work in circular motions until you lift the stain. If the stain remains, move on to Step 2.

    • 2). Mix baking soda and vinegar in a small mixing bowl. Add baking soda first and then slowly add vinegar until the mixture has a paste-like consistency.

    • 3). Apply the baking soda-vinegar mixture over the stained area. Allow the mixture to soak into the wood for at least 15 minutes.

    • 4). Scrub the area in circular motions with a sponge. Continue scrubbing until the stain lifts. This may take multiple applications of the baking soda-vinegar mixture.
