Meditation For Balance

It's a challenge finding equilibrium in our daily life, relationships and responsibilities. It is important to make adjustment and changes to keep and stay in control for a healthy work and life balance.

What matters more to you? Could it be your relationship with God, family, friends, career, leisure time, sports, volunteer work or hobbies? Because everyone has different priorities, goals and values, there is no one common solution to achieving a balanced life. You must know what you value more and prioritize to reflect your core values.

Setting priorities and managing time, can be useful for attaining balance. Learning to say no and not feeling guilty to avoid being overloaded with commitment. Multitasking helps in accomplishing a lot to have extra time. Create time for fun and hobbies which should not always be about work. Evaluate the best way to make changes to make balance in your life.

The word balance has always a positive connotation to it. Nature is always balanced. We can learn from nature how you can remain balanced. A balanced state allows you to avoid anxiety, frustration, stress and several other problems. Being balanced physically, mentally and emotionally also leads to spiritual balance automatically. Even though it is difficult, it is very much possible with a little effort.

Balance is freedom from all points of self-reference; it is indifference only to the demands of the ego-self with its craving for pleasure and position, not to the well-being of ones fellow human beings. This balance is not indifference, but active mindfulness. Because it is rooted in insight of spirit it's not unbalanced by the passions of attraction and aversion and is free of the extremes of joy or sorrow.

Just as your car runs more smoothly and requires less energy to move faster and farther when the wheels are in perfect alignment, you perform better when your thoughts, feelings, emotions, goals, and values are in balance- Brian Tracy

Meditation is balancing your body and mind properly. This balancing automatically brings balancing of your emotions which will help in controlling your anxiety, anger, fear, phobias etc. It improves your patience.

Patience is an excellent measure against indiscretion, but it's also a way of encouragement. In Buddhist culture the term equanimity occurs frequently. Meditation is a steady and continuous yet gentle process. When you begin practicing it and immediately expect the outcomes, you may get disappointed and may stop the practice. But patience takes you slowly and gradually to the long way whatever you do.

You can improve your patience by a number of methods. Some tips are here:

Try to keep noble silence for at least ten minutes every day.
Try to reduce your time of watching TV.
Try to sit with straight spine (There should not be any tension in Your neck) sit for at least ten minutes with closed eyes.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven ..Ecclesiastes
