How to Fix Rotten Raised Beds

    • 1). Remove the soil lying next to the rotten board. Shovel and heap it to the other side of the raised bed, or remove it and store it in a wheelbarrow.

    • 2). Unscrew and remove the screws securing the board with your screwdriver.

    • 3). Remove the board. Lay the old board on top of your new board and measure the two. Draw a line across the new board directly underneath the edge of the old board. This is your cutting line and ensures that the new board will be the same length as the old one.

    • 4). Cut your board on the line using a table saw.

    • 5). Lay your new board in place on the raised bed. Drill new holes into your board for the screws. Place the screws in the holes and tighten with a screwdriver.
