1/09/2012: According to KEYT.com, "A Santa Barbara County Superior Court Judge has ruled the bail bond company, Santa Barbara Bail Bonds, that posted $500,000 bail each for Randy and Evi Quaid will lose the money."
11/24/10: After failing for the fourth time to appear in a California court for arraignment on felony vandalism charges, Randy and Evi Quaid are hoping that Canada's immigration board will okay Randy's refugee claim and find him eligible for admission to Canada.

The admissibility hearing is set for December 22, 2010.

Evi and Randy met in December 1988 when Evi was a production assistant on Bloodhounds of Broadway. After a few weeks of knowing one another, Randy proposed.

According to EOnline.com, "Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Barbara Geck cut Randy a break, agreeing not to issue a bench warrant for his arrest and not forfeit his $500,000 bond since he has no choice but to go before Canadian authorities. However, Geck wasn't as kind to Evi, slapping her with an arrest warrant while prosecutors suggested they may seek to extradite her."

11/01/10: "Randy and Evi Quaid opened up today about their increasingly bizarre behavior, saying they fled to Canada to escape a Hollywood-focused mafia that has stalked them, bugged their phones and hacked into their computers ... 10/29/10: Released from custody in Canada, Randy and Evi each posted $500,000 bond to "assure their appearance" in a Santa Barbara court on 11/2/2010.

10/22/2010: After Duane 'Dog' Chapman issued "a public challenge" urging the couple to turn themselves in, Evi Quaid mentioned the deaths of David Carradine and Heath Ledger and said she and Randy are being persecuted and believe their lives are in danger.

"Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi say they want to stay in Canada as refugees, after they were arrested in Vancouver on U.S. warrants that stem from vandalism charges in California. The couple appeared at a Canadian Immigration and Refugee Board hearing Friday afternoon."

10/18/2010: Missing court dates seems to be a pattern for Randy and Evi Quaid. They did not appear in court for arraignment on residential burglary charges.

9/19/2010: Randy and Evi Quaid were arrested in Santa Barbara County in California for burglary. They were reportedly staying at a guest house on property they previously owned. Evi was also charged with resisting arrest.

4/30/2010: The "bizarre eight-month entanglement with the law" is over now that Evi and Randy Quaid agreed to a plea deal in a California court. Evi will have to do 240 hours of community service.

4/26/2010: Failure to appear in court for a hearing about a September 2009 fraud case caused a judge to have Randy and Evi Quaid arrested. Bail was set for $100,000 and they are to appear at another hearing on 4/28/2010.

4/17/2010: After the Quaids missed two more court dates, a judge issued a nationwide no-bail warrant. "Randy and Evi Quaid have run out of chances."
