- 1). Open the access door at the rear of the clock.
- 2). Observe the back of the clock mechanism and locate the pendulum suspension rod. The rod will be vertically suspended and in the center of your view.
- 3). Hang the pendulum by placing the looped end of the weight on the lower end hook of the suspension rod.
- 4). Set the pendulum in motion by easing it to either side slightly and then releasing it.
- 5). Close the rear panel.
- 1). Open the front access panel of the wall clock.
- 2). Locate the pendulum suspension rod. The rod will be in centered in the case but may be higher than your immediate view. If the case is dark, use a flashlight to find the loop at the end of the rod.
- 3). Hold your grip on the pendulum bob with a soft cloth. At the top of the pendulum is a hook. Place the hook into the loop of the suspension rod.
- 4). Release the pendulum carefully, allowing it hang freely.
- 5). Set the pendulum in motion.
- 1). Open the front panel door of the clock.
- 2). Remove any attached weights from their chains or cables. Grip the weights with a soft cloth. Make sure to replace the weights in the same order they were removed.
- 3). Locate the suspension spring. The spring is flat with a horizontal pin attached to it. The spring itself is connected vertically to a post at the upper rear center of the mechanism.
- 4). Check the end of the pendulum rod. The end will have a split-forked hook to accommodate the shape of the suspension spring.
- 5). Raise the pendulum hook up to the suspension spring. Guide the forked hook of the pendulum rod so that the spring enters the split and the hook rests on its horizontal pin. Make sure the brass bob faces to the front of the clock.
- 6). Re-hang the weights and set the pendulum in motion.
