Anyway, piracy is just everywhere! And it makes me sick! The government has been saying that they are on the lookout for 'pirates' but I do not think they are doing enough to lessen or minimize this problem.
It continues to persist strongly! I see piracy everywhere...
at the mall, at the train stations at the public markets, during bazaars, on business districts, on offices, restaurants, what have you! If the government is really serious about this, go to all MRT or LRT stations or malls anywhere.
And they should penalize the malls or bazaar owners, officials of train stations for allowing (or just closing their eyes) to the existence of very obvious pirated materials (I'm sure they are customers as well!).
What a shame! I was in Naga airport previously while waiting for my flight back to Manila and there you go..
the airport was showing this American film and obviously, it was a pirated material.
Tsk tsk.
No wonder piracy is still prevalent.
If I were the head of that airport, I wouldn't allow that! Ay yay yay! I remember going to this bazaar and saw some tenants selling pirated DVD's! Go eat in any restaurants in Timog or Tomas Morato, situate yourself near the window or beside the window, wait a few minutes and there'll be hawkers knocking on the window to sell your pirated DVD's.
I'm an advocate of Anti-Piracy.
I don't subscribe to it.
I don't like buying pirated CD's or DVD's.
I buy the original.
No, I am not rich.
I am just from an average family.
But my point, I only buy original CD's or DVD's when I have the money.
Otherwise, I don't.
It is like..
I spend what I can afford.
Other people, they spend even though they know that they'll be broke.
That shouldn't be the case, buy what you can afford only! Just a tip.
Go buy CD's and DVD's when you travel.
Go to music and video stores and check for discounted items or items on sale (there's always a lot of sales abroad).
That's what I do.
Or just wait for sales here.
Or go online and check online stores who might be selling second hand CD's or DVD's.
Let us be more considerate of the artists.
That's their work.
Piracy is killing their business or their earnings.
Let us give them what is due them so stop being a pirate!
