Make creative Halloween costumes for sibling boys using a few basic items. Groups of brothers can coordinate costumes, teaming up to portray common items or pop culture icons. Involve everyone to ensure a special Halloween experience, both for trick-or-treaters and for those handing out the candy. - Sew up the head opening in an adult size t-shirt that is large enough to fit two sibling boys. Cut new holes for the boys' heads in the top of the shirt. Each boy will put one arm through a sleeve and keep his other arm inside the shirt. Write "two heads are better than one" across the front of the shirt.
- Draw identical giant eyeballs on two sweatshirts with fabric pens. Buy sweatshirts one or two sizes larger than the boys who will be wearing them for Halloween. Stuff the sweatshirts with wadded newspaper or fiberfill from a discount store's sewing department to give the pair of eyes a round shape.
- Any number of sibling boys can dress-up as the Blue Man Group for Halloween. Buy blue knit caps for each boy to cover his hair. Use blue facial make-up from a costume shop to create the totally blue skin of the Blue Man Group. Dress the boys in black turtlenecks, long pants and gloves.
- Make an oversized prize check for ten million dollars out of the long side of a cardboard box. Paint it white and add realistic features. Dress brothers in their fanciest clothes and borrow a man's hat. One brother can carry a microphone. Use a bouquet of flowers and a handful of balloons to complete the look. Multiple boy siblings can get in on this group costume.
- Make mustard and ketchup costumes for sibling boys using one yellow sweatsuit and one red sweatsuit. Write brand names with fabric pens on the front of each sweatshirt. The boys can wear red or yellow knit caps to finish the look. Make other condiment costumes in a similar manner. Use green sweatsuits for relish costumes and brown sweatsuits for spicy mustard costumes.
- Dress one brother in a long, button-down white shirt large enough to look like a lab coat. Gel his hair so that it sticks out every which way in a crazy style. Give him oversized glasses to wear. Paint the monster brother's face with green facial make-up. Outfit him with a jacket and pants that have been cut to look frayed on the ends. Get an oversized pair of boots for the monster's feet. To add more siblings, just dress up more monsters.
- Dress two brothers in red sweatshirts and pants. Find white gloves and blue wigs at a costume shop. Or use blue spray-on hair color from the drug store instead. Write "thing one" on one of the sweatshirts and "thing two" on the other, using fabric paint. If another boy would like to join in, dress him as the Cat in The Hat, with a striped hat, black sweatsuit, cat face paint and gloves.
