- 1). Moisten a clean cloth with warm water. Lay the cloth over the caulk stain on the brushed nickel surface. Allow it to remain in place for 10 to 15 minutes to soften the caulk.
- 2). Remove the cloth from the brushed nickel. Gently scrape the softened caulk off the brushed nickel surface, using a plastic scraper.
- 3). Pour rubbing alcohol onto another cloth until it's wet. Place the cloth on top of the remaining caulk stain so the rubbing alcohol can soften it. Leave the cloth on the brushed nickel fixture for 10 minutes.
- 4). Remove the cloth and scrape off as much softened caulk as possible.
- 5). Apply two drops of liquid dish detergent to a damp nylon mesh sponge. Scrub the remaining caulk off the surface of the brushed nickel.
- 6). Rinse the brushed nickel surface by wiping it with a damp cloth. Dry it with another cloth.
