Save Money - Top 7 Ways to Save Money at Home

Saving money could not be any more important to the average American than it is right now.
The hard part is changing your habits.
I don't want to stop going out to eat,  going to the movies or anything else I love to do.
Call me crazy but I still want to enjoy life!   Maybe these tips can give you a way to do just that...
continue to enjoy doing the things you want to do.
Tip #1 If you have a security system set it up on a rebate program and get paid to have it protect you.
Also let your insurance company know you have one.
Most insurance companies will give you a discount and may even refund a part of your premiums paid up to date.
The rebate program will allow you to continue your life as usual while getting paid to do it.
Tip #2 If you travel use your own travel portal to buy your plane tickets and get your hotel and rental car reservations.

This is an amazing way to actually earn money on your own travel expenses as well as your friends travel expenses.
Most financial experts would say to stop traveling all together.
No thanks!   Tip #3 Make all purchases online using rewards that pay you to use them! Yes, I'm telling you to buy what you want but buy it differently.
You can even do this with groceries and still shop at your local grocery store.
Save yourself money and still get what you want.
Do you see the common theme here?   Tip #4 Don't get rid of magazine subscriptions.

Don't skimp out on a favorite past time.
The very same magazines you read regularly can be purchased on a rebate program that will pay you back.
I call this money that is being paid back to you "Monetary Redistribution Funds".
Tip #5 Install a gas water heater.

Gas costs less than electricity.
If you already have a gas water heater, lowering the temperature will help greatly on that monthly bill.
Tip #6 Install a programmable thermostat.

These devices regulate the temperature in your home automatically to the temperature that you set.
A programmable thermostat can easily cut your energy bill by 10-20%   Tip #7 Start a garden.

This is an inexpensive hobby that will produce fresh fruits and vegetables.
Going vegetarian may be a stretch for some of you but it will certainly save on your monthly food bill especially if you are eating the fruits and veggies from your own garden.
I said it before and I'll say it again.
Do not stop doing what you love to do while you save money, Tips 1-4 create recurrent monthly bills.
By using a rebate program you can create recurrent savings.
  Here's to your success!
