With the proliferation of individual "stay-at-home" investors comes power. Before the Internet saturated our culture and gave birth to the digital generation, investors used to have stock brokers (can you imagine that?) to rely on for savvy stock-picking tips and to purchase company shares. You're an individual investor who wants to check out IBM's most recent quarterly earnings? The library is just around the corner – don't forget your card.
Thanks in part to retail and discount Internet brokerage firms, I never had to experience those golden days. There are some big names in this space with extravagant advertising budgets, but according the executive management team at TradeStation, only one platform brings together diversified investments and the ability to develop, test, and automate electronic trading strategies.
TradeStation Group, through it's principal operating subsidiary, TradeStation Securities, Inc., offers the TradeStation platform to the active trader and certain institutional trader markets. TradeStation is an electronic trading platform that offers state-of-the-art electronic order execution and enables clients to design, test, optimize, monitor and automate their own custom Equities, Options, Futures and Forex trading strategies. TradeStation offers the user award-winning trading and software tools, and shareholders invested in the broker/dealer an opportunity for exposure in a company that turns a profit and boasts the highest Daily Average Revenue Trades (DART's) among all the industry competitors (a close competitor would be Optionshouse).
The company announced today a new LiveOnTheWeb seminar series for its customers, called Introduction to EasyLanguage that will begin in November 2010. TradeStation clients who participate will learn basic syntax and punctuation rules, how to get the most flexibility out of built-in indicators and strategies, how to modify alert criteria, and much more. They will also learn how to access additional educational resources on EasyLanguage.
"EasyLanguage is the driving technology behind all of the customizable analyses traders can create within the TradeStation platform," said Salomon Sredni, CEO of the parent company, TradeStation Group. "This LiveOnTheWeb class is a great opportunity for TradeStation clients from all over the world to participate in live EasyLanguage training. With our recent launch of TradeStation 9.0, which adds new power to EasyLanguage, the timing of the launch of this webinar series could not be better."
In the last quarter, TradeStation reported that DARTS were slightly down year-over-year with $92,877 booked. The average equity asset value per account was $67,800, resulting in average net revenue per account of about $3,000. Net revenues were about $38M and net income came in at $.12 per share.
