How to Throw a Bingo Party

    • 1). Create bingo-themed postcard invitations. Purchase cardboard-style bingo cards from the local or online party supplier. Turn the card over and place it on the horizontal side. Draw a line down the center of the card. Write the date, time, location and any other pertinent party information on the left side. Put the addressee information on the right side of the line. Check with the post office to determine the correct postage rate for each bingo card invitation.

    • 2). Gather your bingo supplies. Include a bingo roller cage, balls, cards and daubers. Purchase complete bingo game sets online if you don't already have the necessary supplies.

    • 3). Set up a playing space. Count the number of guests who will attend and provide as many chairs. Set up chairs around tables, countertops and flat surfaces where the guest can place cards during playtime. Provide ample table space for players who will need to spread out more than one card at a time. Set up in a well-lighted area so players can easily read the numbers on the cards.

    • 4). Designate someone to be the bingo caller and someone to be the card checker. Ask for volunteers prior to the start of the party or create a system of rotation so everyone gets chance to play.

    • 5). Serve easy finger foods and snack items during your bingo party. Players will be busy checking cards and won't have hands free for utensils. Choose light fare that isn't sticky or messy to eat.

    • 6). Award prizes to bingo winners. Shop in the dollar or discount store for prize items or ask guests to bring a designated amount of small presents purchased within a set spending limit. Use slightly larger prizes for special games such as full-card or four-corners bingo.
