Just days before Republican Candidate Mitt Romney was to visit Israel during his campaign trip, perhaps to secure the Jewish vote here in the United States - the USA Today put out a news release email to their millions of subscribers which stated; " A senior advisor said Mitt Romney would back an Israeli military strike against Iran to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear capability," the Obama Administration conveniently put released old intelligence information, well known in global intelligence circles, through the FBI that; "The FBI partially declassified and released files linking Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to a nuclear technology smuggling ring that targeted the United States.
The declassified files are now publicly available online," stated the IRmep Organization or Institute for Research - Middle Eastern Policy Organization - and again this is well-known by those in intelligence circles, so why was this blasted into the media just as Romney visits Israel? Simple, this is partisan politics, and the Obama Administration is playing the game full-tilt willing to do anything or as we've seen say anything to alienate his political enemies and get himself reelected.
Personally, I have a real problem with this sort of political wars in the media especially during important times of international diplomacy, mediation, and negotiation.
Namely, what's going on in Syria and Iran.
Sure, we've been known to play the old "good guy - bad guy" game in dealing our international maneuvering, yet, this just isn't funny anymore.
For the Democrats to raise Holy Hell over the Valarie Plame scandal, and yet, release quasi-intelligence in the mass media behind the scenes for political score board gamesmanship, well it makes me wonder if anyone really cares about the American People, or if this whole thing is about "themselves" and maintaining their power base.
We've seen this before when leaders of various nations do whatever they can to circumvent the will of the people, hijack the media, and literally use the government's own resources to conveniently manipulate public opinion into a bastion of created reality in disguise of being politically correct and transparent.
Therefore, due to recent similar events in the media, I can safely conclude that the timing of this information is completely suspect and planned.
If so, that would make it also completely unacceptable and render the Obama Administration "unfit to lead" and this should be remembered amongst other things come November.
Is this a treasonous event, no, but the thought process behind sure leaves a lot to be desired from the current leadership of the greatest nation ever created in the history of humankind.
Shame on the Obama Administration indeed.
