There are a number of colleges and universities in Nebraska that offer students a Christian faith-based learning environment. These schools seek to combine higher education with Christian spiritual growth in order to prepare students for service and leadership roles in both the church and the professional realm. - Concordia University is a private, coeducational liberal arts institution affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The university serves over 1,700 students from 43 countries and offers over 50 undergraduate programs and eight masters degree programs. Areas of study range from art to education to theology, and students also have the opportunity to participate in numerous extracurricular activities including 20 intercollegiate athletic programs and 15 music ensembles.
