Growing up with Chris:
… was probably a lot like growing up under the shadow of two public giants. His father is the well-known former New York governor, Mario Cuomo, and his older brother, Andrew, serves as New York State Attorney General. But Chris has come into his own as a journalist and television broadcaster.
Chris’s First Job & The Early Years:
After attending private school in New York, Chris went on to Yale University and then Fordham, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate. So, yes, he is a lawyer and a journalist.
His law degree, in part, helped him secure a position as a political policy analyst for several cable news networks. He joined ABC News in 1999.
Becoming a Talk Show Host:
After three years as co-host of ABC News’ Primetime, the same program GMA co-anchor Diane Sawyer hosted for many years, Cuomo, in 2006, took the role of news anchor on the morning program.
