Waterfront Hotels in Tannersville, New York

    Greene Mountain View Inn

    • Greene Mountain View Inn is a small, 15-room bed and breakfast in Tannersville, New York, directly across the road from Rip Van Winkle Lake. The inn is a two-story colonial-style "estate" with a wrap-around veranda. Each room has a flat-panel TV, refrigerator, air conditioning and private bathroom. The bed and breakfast has a community feel with a 4,000-foot common area with a fireplace, and a full breakfast available every morning. The property also features a game room with vintage 1980s video games, as well as a pool table. Built in 1890, the inn overlooks not only Rip Van Winkle Lake, but also Cortina and Hunter mountains.

    Villa Vosilla

    • The Villa Vosilla is an Italian resort hotel located on Scenic Route 23a, on Hunter Mountaintop. It's 500 feet away from Rip Van Winkle, and is the second-closest hotel to the lake in Tannersville. The Villa Vosilla has been family-owned and operated for 47 years, and was formerly The Rose Garden. The resort restaurant is a destination for New Yorkers in search of homemade pasta and other authentic Italian foods. It also features an Italian nightclub, open to villa guests and the public. The hotel is minutes from the Hunter Mountain and Windham Mountain ski resorts. Villa Vosilla offers discounts on lift tickets.

    Snowed Inn

    • The Snowed Inn is a small bed and breakfast on Main Street, in Tannersville. It has five rooms, divided among three bathrooms. Guests receive a full breakfast during ski season, and a continental breakfast in the summers, said owner Noreen Valsich. Many of the summer guests are hikers, and wake up so early, that it's easiest to let them help themselves, she said. "They sometimes get up at 4 in the morning," Valsich said. The 26-year bed and breakfast has on-street parking, televisions equipped with DVR, and is located within 1,000 feet of Lake Rip Van Winkle.
