- 1). Collect small bottles or containers, allowing you to put about a handful of the fish food into each container. Use whichever type of container you have on hand, as long as they have tight-fitting lids. Stay away from glass when possible because glass containers sometimes have a tendency to crack at freezing temperature.
- 2). Place a funnel into the opening of the bottle. Skip this step if using a different type of container.
- 3). Drop a handful of the fish food into the funnel or container until the bottle or container is full.
- 4). Continue until you have filled the number of containers you wish to store, and tightly place the lids onto the containers or bottles.
- 5). Store in the freezer, and keep them there for up to one year. Use the fish food as needed, allowing it to thaw for about 24 hours before use.
