Tinnitus is a problem that a large portion of the population will experience at some time or another.
In this article I want to share with you a few tinnitus treatment remedies, and also share my opinion as to whether or not they have any merit.
Some of these remedies you may have heard of, and some of them you have not! The first remedy that I want to talk about involves eating pickles in order to cure tinnitus.
I have heard that many people feel this works, but with my personal experience I can say that it really does not seem to help.
A lot of athletes drink pickle juice to avoid cramps, so I assume the logic is that pickles can decrease muscle tension and inflammation.
However, I cannot say that it works.
Another popular remedy involves taking more Vitamin B-12.
Some studies have linked a deficiency in this vitamin with tinnitus, however the medical reports are hit and miss.
A lot of doctors will recommend a multi-vitamin to help cure tinnitus, so I guess this could have some merit.
However, I am not a doctor, and before you start any type of vitamin regiment you need to make sure that you have proper medical clearance from your physician.
Last but not least, often times non-traditional doctors may recommend aroma therapy as a tinnitus treatment remedy.
This can help curb tinnitus in certain situations, but it will not always work.
The philosophy of this natural remedy relies on the logic that tinnitus is caused by excess stress, and aroma therapy will reduce stress.
While this is sometimes true, more often than not tinnitus has another underlying cause.
