5 Little Thing for More Optimism

There are couple of things most people have no time for.
It is simply because the days are long, filled with stress and relaxing is not really on the menu.
Relaxing is stashed in the furthest corner of the brain.
It has been proven that stress can cause not only a bad mood but things that are more serious than this.
Stress can cause insomnia and sleep walking in some individuals.
It can cause eating problems and nervous system is not happy about stress either.
People who are walking around unhappy and sad all the time are not a joy to be around and most people will want to have a good mood in the workplace and home.
The first things people can do is set a certain morning routine if they do not have one.
But not just any routine.
Something that allows them to kick-start their day and makes them a little bit happier in the morning.
The second thing is - look in the mirror and find something good to say to yourself.
Even if it is a bad hair day and you have dark circles under your eyes and this is a hard morning, there has to be something good to say to yourself.
At least that in couple of hours it will be lunchtime and that can be used to sleep at least for five minutes.
Another thing people can do and this will sound materialistic - buy something.
Most people feel better if they buy something they have always wanted.
If there is no possibility to do that - think of what you would buy.
Oh, I just feel the anger people might express towards me for suggesting this because not everyone is happier and...
yes, what seems to fit everyone, actually fits nobody.
The fourth thing on this simple list - plan a good evening.
If you have family - find a possibility to do something with them even if it is only sitting down and having a meal together.
Or play a board game, or even watch TV together.
It will help you relax and make you feel more optimistic about the day.
And the last but not least - giver yourself free time from all duty.
Find a nanny for the kids of you have those.
Ask for an hour with yourself and have a long bath, watch your favourite shows all evening or even go out with your girlfriends.
Most people will not find this revolutionary.
But these things are more for people who need reminding that they live only once and that their lives are impacted by everything that happens.
Optimism sounds silly at times but it will make those around you feel better and it will help you to feel better about yourself, have positive interactions with others and perhaps even learn a thing or two.
