- 1). Open MagicISO, then click the file menu on the top left.
- 2). Select the "Open" option from the file menu, and then choose an appropriate image file.
- 3). View the files stored in the ISO by using MagicISO's main window. The contents of a selected ISO are shown in the top right panel. Any files you wish to open from this panel need to be extracted first.
- 4). Select a file you wish to view from the top right panel. Then, from the tool bar right above the panel, select "Extract," and an "Extract to..." window should appear.
- 5). Choose a directory you wish to extract the file to, either in an existing folder, or a newly created one. Once the file is extracted, you can open it by using the appropriate program.
- 1). Download MagicDisc, a freeware program made by the same software company that works directly with Magic ISO. Once MagicDisc is installed, an icon should appear in your Windows tool bar on the bottom right of your desktop.
- 2). Right click the MagicDisc icon in your Windows tool bar. An options menu should appear.
- 3). Select the "Virtual CD/DVD-ROM" option and select one of the virtual CD/DVD drivers. Unless changed in MagicDisc's options, the program will start with one virtual driver and it will say "no media" next to it. After selecting this drive, a new options menu should open.
- 4). Click "Mount" in the new menu. The program will then open Windows Explorer to let you browse your computer for the appropriate image file. Choose a file and press "OK."
- 5). After you are done with the image, repeat steps 2 and 3. When you see the drive's options menu, click "Unmount." This will unmount your virtual drive, and allow it to be used for other image files.
